| The Gift Container
Though a gift doesn't have to have a container - e.g., a wrapper or
receptacle that hide it - the hiding is what creates suspense and
surprise... tantalizing layers of fun.
The traditional
box-to-fit is just fine... if a little ordinary; but the wrapping can
turn the ordinary into the extraordinarily interesting in a
flash. So the creative "container" is a powerful means of
giving extra pleasure, even of expressing meaning - perhaps intimating
some element of the inner gift, or acknowledging the receiver in some
way, or even just of "mystery".
